Using B2B Marketing Automation in mature manufacturing sector

Hi I operate a small F&B manufacturing company, mostly selling to schools and catering companies etc… We were recently approached by a B2B marketing agency trying to sell us on Pardot to automate our sales and marketing efforts. Our segment is competitive and so we are on one hand wary of operational bloat but equally eager to stay ahead of the curve. Does anyone have experience using pardot, did it make a significant difference?
